Skagway, AK

Night 13: Our stay in Skagway, AK was bittersweet. We had been driving for the past few days through rugged terrain and high altitudes through the mountains. When we arrived in Skagway, we were finally able to catch our breath and relax for a bit. Originally a town founded by the men who mined the mountains for gold, now more or less a tourist destination. We arrived after season so the streets were bare. It added to the tranquil and quaint feel of the historic town.

Here is where we stayed for the evening.

Before we arrived in Skagway, we finally crossed back into the U.S. Home sweet home!
